Representation Matters!
And to all the black men and women out there, know that you matter and that I am here to make sure you feel seen, heard, and represented as we work to unpack as well as process some of the mental health struggles you’ve been dealing with.
Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, grief, depression, or trauma, as a black therapist in Florida, I am here to listen, encourage, validate, and support you along your journey to achieving mental wellness and becoming an even better version of yourself.
My goal in therapy is to provide you with a space where you feel comfortable showing up fully as your true self. A space that is free from judgment or prejudice. A space where you can speak freely, knowing that your therapist may already has an understanding of your culture without you having to over-explain every little thing to them.
If you resonate with what you read so far, then you’ve come to the right place!
ARE YOU STRUGGLING WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING?
You’re not sure how to process your emotions and/or cope with them in healthy ways
Your relationship with your mom or dad are either nonexistent, rooted in pain and trauma, or feels unhealthy in some way
You get angry as well as irritable quite often and wish you weren’t so easily triggered
You feel stressed, overwhelmed, and burned out by the number of tasks on your to-do list which leaves you very little time to rest, take a break, or relax
You’re at a place in life where your financial/career goals haven’t been met and your mental health concerns have been left unaddressed
If you resonate with what you’ve read, then you deserve therapeutic support!
Is a Parent and/or Family Member…
resistant to growth and refusing to change
continuing to be toxic, abusive, disrespectful, or invalidating towards you
taking out their pain, hurt, and trauma on you
refusing to take accountability or apologize for how they’ve treated you
pressuring you to be successful, support them financially, and/or become this person they envisioned you to be
If you can relate to what you read, then together we could work towards processing the hurt, pain, and trauma that may have been caused by your family. This may get you one step closer to breaking generational curses!

Therapy for Black Men & Women in Florida may Help
As a black man, who also happens to be a therapist, I have witnessed, both personally and professionally, what some black people go through mentally, emotionally, and otherwise. I have also witnessed how important representation matters. This has led me to dedicate my career to making a space for black men and women in Florida to feel comfortable showing up to therapy.
Going to therapy could be the best decision you ever make for your mental health and overall well-being. It has the potential to change your life as you could learn healthy ways to cope with your mental health struggles. With that being said, I empathize with you if you’ve had your hesitations when it comes to starting therapy.
If you feel like you simply don’t have time for therapy, know that I offer virtual, online therapy which could save you the time it would take to commute to an office and allows you to meet with me almost anywhere you have privacy.
If your reason for not going to therapy is due to your busy schedule, know that I have availability on both weekdays and weekends, in both the afternoons and evenings.
If you feel as though you don’t have the resources for therapy, consider the investment you could be making, not simply into therapy, but into your mental and emotional well-being. An investment that your future self may thank you for.
If there’s anything holding you back from starting therapy, just remember, you are worthy of mental wellness and deserving of therapeutic support!
